Songs for the Lord’s Supper Part 2

Songs for the Lord’s Supper Part 2

Here is the second of a series on new songs that are appropriate and worshipful to sing at the Lord’s Supper.  These songs are picked based on the words (not all will agree on every line) and the tunes. They are singable by a congregation even though some may be easier than others.

  1. Wonderful Merciful Savior by Dawn Rodgers and Eric Wyse
  2. Come Ye Sinners by Vertical Church Band
    • This is a remake of an old hymn with a new bridge
  3. The Power of the Cross by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend
  4. Beautiful Saviour by Stuart Townend
  5. My Savior My God by Aaron Shust and Dorothy Greenwell
    • Another remake with a new bridge
  6. Lord I Lift Your Name On High by Rick Founds
  7. Be Unto Your Name by Gary Sadler and Lynn DeShazo
  8. Meekness and Majesty by Graham Kendrick
    • Not that new but still a great song
  9. Stronger by Ben Fielding and Reuben Morgan
  10. Unbounded Grace by Don Wyrtzen and John E. Walvoord
    • Written in 1971 but still new to many

The new Hymnal (2017), Hymns of Grace, has 11 of the songs you list in your two parts, Songs for the Lord’s Supper. I don’t have a copy, but have been browsing through their indexes on line
