Valentine’s Day is the most celebrated day of the year for couples. Love is in the air! But no human love, as powerful as it might be can compare to God’s love for us. Here are just a few reminders of how much God has and still loves us.
An everlasting love
The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with loving-kindness I have drawn you. Jeremiah 31:3
A sacrificial love
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
A persevering love
Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. John 13:1
A family love
As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. John 15:9
A seeking love
We love Him because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19
A divine love
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16
A protecting love
Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Revelation 3:9
